The Memorial was named "Peace" and dedicated to the history of Civil Rights in Arizona with a timeline that depicts historical events in America's struggle for civil rights across the nation in red letters and Arizona's history in blue letters. The Arizona "Star" was incorporated in the center oblong shelter with the colors of the States flag.  The center table denotes how the Park (in which the Memorial is located) looked when first constructed and used by people of color  in the early 1900's. The Memorial stands 20 feet high and 40 feet wide and approximately 1.5 tons of metal. It is located in the historical "East Lake Park" of Phoenix where all civil right marches begin. A Festival is planned to update the Memorial engravings and student essay selections. Click on logo below for the website,
